Network Security Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer with strong experience in enterprise network security, firewall management, secure infrastructure, and advanced networking technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Networks, Cisco systems, VPN technologies, routing protocols, and security operations.

This role focuses on maintaining secure network environments, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, implementing security solutions, monitoring enterprise systems, and supporting mission-critical network operations across complex enterprise environments.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Associate degree in an Information Technology related field
• Certification: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
• Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or Security
• Experience: Strong background in IT networking and network security environments

Preferred Requirements

• 10+ years of technical experience in networking and network security
• Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field preferred
• Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE) certification preferred
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification preferred

• Routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
• Vulnerability management using Nessus and NMAP
• Packet analysis using Wireshark and Riverbed tools
• Centralized monitoring using Panorama and SolarWinds
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid work environment Monday through Friday
• Two days remote and three days onsite depending on operational requirements
• Standard operating hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST
• Flexibility required for deadlines, operational support, and after-hours coverage
